A Day in the Life of Reggie: The Real CEO Behind Reggie & Co.

Reggie the dog, brand mascot of Reggie & Co. printables, sitting with a colouring page

Every great brand has a story. Ours has four paws, a very strong opinion about nap schedules, and an uncanny ability to sit directly on top of whatever we're working on.

Meet Reggie — the real CEO of Reggie & Co.

7:00am — The Morning Briefing

While most CEOs start their day with a strong coffee and a strategy meeting, Reggie begins his with a thorough inspection of the duvet. Once satisfied that everything is in order (i.e., still warm), he graciously allows the rest of the household to wake up.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, we're checking overnight orders, responding to customer emails, and making sure every digital download has landed safely in inboxes across the UK and beyond.

9:30am — Design Approval

This is where Reggie truly earns his title. Every new colouring page, planner sheet, and party invitation must pass his rigorous quality check — which involves sitting on the printed proof for approximately 4–7 minutes before giving a slow blink of approval.

We take this very seriously. If Reggie isn't comfortable on it, it doesn't go live.

11:00am — The Power Nap (Strategic Rest Period)

Innovation requires rest. Reggie retreats to his favourite sunny spot — usually the corner of the desk, directly in front of the monitor — for his mid-morning recharge. We use this time to work on new collections, write blog posts (like this one!), and plan upcoming launches.

12:00pm — Dinner & Garden Time

The most important meeting of the day. Reggie takes his lunch break very seriously — dinner is non-negotiable, and it must be served promptly. After eating, he heads out to the garden for some fresh air and essential field research: sniffing the flowerbeds, monitoring the fence line, and occasionally rolling in something he really shouldn't. We eat our lunch too, usually at the desk. Reggie has the better deal.

1:00pm — Customer Research

Reggie is deeply committed to understanding our customers. This mostly involves watching birds through the window with intense focus, but we like to think it inspires the wildlife-themed colouring pages that have become some of our bestsellers.

3:00pm — The Afternoon Patrol

A thorough walk around the house to ensure all is well. Reggie checks the bookshelves, the windowsills, and occasionally the laundry basket. We check our Pinterest analytics, update product listings, and schedule social content.

5:00pm — End of Day Review

As the working day winds down, Reggie takes his position on the sofa for the evening debrief. He reviews the day's events (mostly by staring into the middle distance), and we wrap up any final orders, respond to messages, and plan tomorrow's to-do list.

6:30pm — The Evening Walk (R&D Department)

Every great CEO needs time to think. Reggie's early evening walk is sacred — a chance to sniff the breeze, ponder the day's events, and come up with the ideas that will shape tomorrow's collection. Some of our best product concepts have been born on these walks. We're fairly sure Reggie knows this, which is why he takes his time.

Why We Named the Brand After Him

Honestly? Because he was there from the very beginning. When we were designing our first colouring book at the kitchen table, Reggie was there — sitting on the sketchpad, knocking pens off the desk, and generally making himself indispensable.

He reminded us that the best things in life are simple: a cosy afternoon, a beautiful page to fill in, and someone you love nearby. That's the feeling we try to put into every single product at Reggie & Co.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Reggie a dog or a cat?

Reggie is a dog — though he has the energy of a cat and the self-importance of a small emperor. He takes both roles very seriously.

Does Reggie actually approve the designs?

Absolutely. His quality control process is rigorous, time-consuming, and involves a lot of sitting. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Has Reggie ever rejected a design?

Once. We don't talk about it. The design was reworked, Reggie approved the revised version, and we all moved on. Lessons were learned.

What is Reggie's official job title?

Chief Executive Officer, Head of Quality Assurance, Director of Naps, and Senior Consultant (Garden Division). He has business cards, but he sat on them.

Can I send Reggie fan mail?

Reggie accepts fan mail via our contact page. He doesn't reply personally — he's very busy — but he does appreciate the attention. We'll pass it on.

Does Reggie have his own colouring page?

Not yet — but given his central role in the business, it feels inevitable. Watch this space. In the meantime, our Cute Dog Colouring Pages are the next best thing. Reggie has reviewed and approved them.

Reggie is now writing a monthly blog about a catch up on the business and what adventures he has been up to during the month — catch the first one here.
